Hymenochete purpurea Ć©s una espĆØcie que forma part de la famĆlia Hymenochete.

It is a tree-dwelling mushroom, prefers conifers (especially likes to grow on fir). It usually grows on trunks, fallen trees, and dry branches. Due to its bright color, hymenochete purple is easily recognized in nature.

It is found everywhere, in Our Country: the European part, the Urals, the Caucasus, Eastern Siberia, the Far East.

Fruiting bodies very densely attached, prostrate. The shape is round. Individual specimens often merge into a single whole, forming a settlement, reaching 10-12 centimeters in length. The fruiting body usually has

smooth surface. The color is wine-red, along the edges of the cap there is a narrow light border.

During the sporulation period, the body of Hymenochus purpurea is covered with a bloom of spores, which gives the fungus a special bluish tint.

The hyphae of the basidoma are densely woven, the structure is multilayered: pubescence, cortical layer, median, lower cortical, and most often two-layered hymenium.

Hymenochete purpurea spores are cylindrical in shape.

El bolet prefereix crƩixer a l'avet i, pel seu color brillant, es reconeix fƠcilment a la natura.

A similar species is hymenochete murashkinsky. It, unlike purple, has pronounced recurved basidiomas, two layers of hymenium and prefers to grow on rhododendron.
